Making a room sim
So, five saves later and I'm pretty happy with how this game has turned out.
First version: I wanted to finish it quickly and get it out there. The box colliders were big and approximate. The furniture was bare. The walls were just images.
Second version: Tweaking the sound, adjusting volume and pitch for different objects. Trying to make the first person camera react comfortably to cursor movements.
Third version: Added some books, made more box colliders for the drawers/tub so objects could be put inside. Tried to put a bedsheet on, but mesh colliders wouldn't behave.
Fourth version: Made a big ol' gamer chair. Made the drawers shorter. Made a new window wall so that things could be thrown out the window.
Fifth version: Final?? Made the gamer chair shinier, the camera more comfortable, made the bed and large shelves a touch wider, took the collision audio off the walls/floor/ceiling (so much better), fixed a duplicate in the opening text.
Pretty happy with how it turned out. I'd like to do small environments again. It would be cool if I could get mesh colliders to work, but word is that box colliders are preferable because of processing speeds or something.
